Short Term - 2027

Green Premium Program Subscription

Renewable energy electricity tariff provided by KEPCO.
Enables the use of certified renewable energy with no upfront investment.

REC (Renewable Energy Certificate) Purchase

If direct renewable energy procurement is difficult,
RE100 progress is increased through certificates.

Energy Efficiency Improvements

Enhancing power efficiency of smelting furnaces and separation equipment including inverters, high-efficiency motors, LED lighting, and waste heat recovery systems.

Mid Term - 2030

Rooftop Solar Installation

Utilizing factory roofs and scrap yard structures.
Requires initial CAPEX but reduces electricity costs long term.

Third-Party PPA (Power Purchase Agreement)

Long-term contracts with renewable energy generators.
Provides stable pricing and supports RE100 certification.

ESS (Energy Storage System) Adoption

Managing peak electricity usage aligned with furnace operations
and maximizing renewable energy utilization.

Long Term - 2040

Participation in K-RE100 and pursuit of international RE100 certification

Responding to requirements from global customers including Samsung, LG,
and leading semiconductor and battery companies.

Supply Chain Cooperation

Encouraging partner companies to participate in RE100
and joining joint-purchase consortiums.

Establishment of a Carbon Neutrality Reporting System

Publishing ESG reports and responding to CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) requirements.
